Convert a WhatsApp chat export to PDF (privately)

WhatsApp’s official export is a .txt transcript: useful, but hard to read or email as-is. Tokitool turns that export into a clean, paginated PDF with names, timestamps, and page breaks. Parsing and PDF generation run in your browser with jsPDF; the chat file is not uploaded to Tokitool for conversion.

Use the mobile WhatsApp app (not Web or Desktop) to export. Choose Without mediawhen you only need the conversation text. If you exported with media, open the zip and drop the.txt inside. The converter does not read the whole zip.

Is my chat uploaded?

No. Parsing and PDF generation run in your browser with jsPDF. The file never goes to Tokitool servers for conversion.

Why make a PDF at all?

PDFs are easier to archive, print, or share than a raw .txt dump, with clearer names, timestamps, and page breaks. Keep the .txt too if you need a searchable source transcript.

Can I convert on iPhone or Android?

Is the PDF valid for court or HR?

Tokitool only formats your export for readability. It does not certify authenticity or give legal/HR advice. Keep the original .txt and follow counsel or company policy.

What if I see “No WhatsApp messages found”?

You likely selected a zip, screenshot, or non-export text. Re-export and use the .txt (from inside the zip if you chose with media).
